Spring Brush Clean Up
Castle Pines Village, Colorado 80108
Spring Brush Clean Up
May 4 - 8 South Side of Village
May 11-15 North and Northeast side of Village
May 18 - 22 Center section of Village
The Castle Pines Metropolitan District will be conducting a village-wide spring clean up during the month of May.
The District has sectioned the Village into 3 areas for easier clean up, and to help reduce the amount of time the tree branches are sitting in front of your home. The District is scheduled to be in your area for one week during May. See schedule above or attached map. Pick up of debris will take place Monday through Friday of that week.
Please stack all tree branches to be picked up near the road where it can be reached with the District equipment. Please have your items ready for pick up on Monday morning at 8 a.m.
This pick-up is limited to tree branches. For easier handling, we are asking that the trees be cut in 4 foot lengths and that the branches are removed. Tree parts and branches can be stacked together at the edge of asphalt. For Metro pick up, please do not bundle.
For more information on the tree branch pick-up, please feel free to call Sue Mantz at the Metro District at (303) 688-8330.
Regular Waste Management Trash Pick-up
The Homes Association's contract with Waste Management provides for the collection of up to ten (10) bags of trash - including deadwood and brush properly bagged - on each regular trash pick-up day. This option is available throughout the year and only requires that you cut up your prunings into bag-able size, place the prunings in a trash bag (we recommend heavy-duty types), and put them out with your other trash.
Please remember the 10-bag per day limit! WM will pick up only ten bags per home. If you leave extra bags on the curb, it may result in the issuance of a Notice of Violation of Association Rules.
WARNING: The Castle Pines Homeowners Association's Declaration of Restrictive Covenants ("CC&Rs") requires that any removal of live trees or shrubs from the property must be approved in advance by the Design Review Committee. The DRC and the Association both strongly encourage the removal of deadwood from pines and Gamble oak to improve defensible space. However, removal of live trees, scrub oak, and other brush in the name of defensible space is not permitted without DRC prior approval and constitutes a violation of Association Rules that may result in fines of up to $100 per inch of diameter of tree trunk cut and removed.
For more information on the Waste Management pick-up or DRC restrictions, please contact CPHOA at (303) 814-1345. You may also visit the CPHOA website, www.castlepinesvillage.org.
