Street Sign Replacement

In addition to the roadway repair project noted above, Metro is responsible for the maintenance, repair and replacement of the street signage throughout Castle Pines Village (CPV).  This responsibility includes street name signs, speed limit signs, STOP signs, and other traffic flow signage.  Due to the age of some of the signage in CPV, Metro staff members began searching for more durable visible street signs.  Over the course of a year, several meetings were held with Metro and Design Review Committee (DRC) representatives and a street sign type was approved. These new signs are metal, contain reflective lettering for visibility after dark, and are expected to have a much greater life span than the fabricated signs.  The street name signs were determined to be the highest priority for replacement, and Metro will change out 92 street name signs located on the streetlight poles throughout CPV.  This work will take place during the summer months.   Expect to see Metro staff members using reachlift equipment to install the new signs on the light poles, so PLEASE DRIVE CAREFULLY when you see the team working.  Additional street sign improvement needs will be prioritized and planned for future years.
