The Castle Pines Village Metropolitan District may, in its sole discretion, issue a water bill credit for water leaks that are detected and repaired. Please use this form to request a water leak credit if you experienced an unexpected leak that caused unusually high water usage. Providing accurate information helps us review your situation quickly and determine whether an adjustment can be made to your bill. Once submitted, our team will evaluate your request and follow up with any questions or next steps. We appreciate your effort to conserve water and your partnership in maintaining a reliable, efficient system for our community.

The following policies apply to the issuance of water leak credits:

1.  Credits are limited to one billing cycle.
2. Credits will only be granted once per calendar year. If another leak occurs within the same year, the homeowner is responsible for the full amount of water used.
3. All water usage will be billed; however, any approved leak adjustment will be calculated using the lowest tier water rate. The District may use various factors (e.g., historical water usage, post-repair usage, meter readings, seasonal irrigation patterns, the estimated duration of the leak, and the type and location of the leak) to determine typical consumption and calculate any applicable credit.
4. Meter readings must confirm that all leaks at the property have been repaired before a water leak credit will be reviewed or approved.
5. All credit requests must be submitted within three months of the date the leak was identified.
